- We hold monthly volunteer sessions during the autumn and winter, with the aim of increasing the variety of, and improving existing, habitats for wildlife.
- Sessions are normally held on the 3rd Saturday of the month, but it will be on 4th Saturday (27th) in September.
- The Council’s contractor, idverde, has the main responsibility for managing the site, and we hope to meet their team soon to agree a mowing regime for the grasslands that will avoid the untimely, dustbowl cuts that took place earlier in the year.
- We have also been contacted recently by Tom Brodie, the London Wildlife Trust’s Woodland Nature Recovery Officer, who is working to improve biodiversity, amenity and access to woodland across the borough and wants to work with us on One Tree Hill.
